Update: My Absence
Hey guys,
Just wanted to give a quick update to address my ongoing absence from the blog and give you some news about the next book.
First off: there will be many more books in the series. I don't want anybody to think that I lost interest -- I'm VERY excited to continue where I left off.
Now, with that said, here's why I've been gone: an opportunity arose to study at Oxford's Summer School Program a few months back. I couldn't say no. I've wanted to go to Europe my whole life.
So, I went. And I tried to get some writing done, but it was impossible to focus on two things at once. I went full-on study mode, and let writing the third book slide.
But now I'm back, and working on Dagan's tale once more. I want to thank all you guys for your support and patience this summer. Without you, I would have never had the opportunity to take time off to study. So, thank you. And now that I'm home again, the series is going to continue. The third book should be out before the end off the year, so make sure you subscribe to my newsletter here to be notified through email of the release.
Cheers,
Edward M. Knight

A Thirst for Vengeance, volume 2 coming June 10 2014
Shit guys, I'm sorry to say that I've had to delay the book.
I was right on track in terms of word count... but the story ended up taking longer to conclude than I anticipated. Meaning, Vengeance 2 is a whole lot longer than Vengeance 1.
I've been reading the reviews and I know you've been asking for a meatier book. I thought I could finish it in time for May 28th, but that's no longer the case. Right now, the worst-case release date is set to June 10th, 2014.
(Worst-case meaning that June 10th is the absolute latest, latest I will release the book. If everything goes really, really well, I might even make the previous deadline and finish it by May 28th. But I'm not holding my breath. I need an extra week for edits.)
(also.. June 10th is an awesome day to release the book because that's the start of E3. I'll be able to publish and then relax for three days watching the expo. I know I've got at least a few video game fans as readers...)
So anyone who's marked their calendar... you're going to have to adjust that mark. The upside is that you get a longer book in the end. There'll be more of Dagan's story there. And, the wait for the sequels won't take anywhere near as long as from Vengeance 1 to Vengeance 2. I'm estimating a month and a half, two months (max) between books. Maybe less. We'll see. I'll try to do less.
ALSO! The sequel to A Thirst for Vengeance is simply going to be called.. A Thirst for Vengeance, Volume 2. Easy, right? I'm going to get rid of the whole "Ashes Saga" bit. Or maybe I'll keep it, but "The Ashes Saga" will refer to stories set in the world that I'm building, while A Thirst for Vengeance books will be Dagan's story.
Anyway. The cover is done and looks freaking sick. I can't wait for you to see it. My artist did a masterful job.
Lastly.. after I published A Thirst for Vengeance, Volume 2, I'll update this entire site. It'll move over to Blogger, I'll get some real information on the pages, and use the blog more frequently. It'll be great. I'm excited.
Cheers,
Edward M.

Vengeance 2 coming May 28, 2014.
So, good and bad news:
Bad news first. I've been neglecting the site.
Good news next. Reason for it is because I've been working. Writing, more like. Vengeance #2 (preliminary, working name, I have no idea what I'm going to title the book yet) is coming along really well. Going to finish it in the next week or so and then it goes in for edits. Release date is set for May 28th, 2014.
Also.. I'm planning on moving the site over to blogger soon. It's on Weebly now, and kind of a pain in the ass to post blog updates on. Part of the reason I've avoided posting anything is the inconvenience of doing so. Once I transition to blogger (whenever I get around to it) things will become more active.

PS: A few of you guys mentioned getting a sales alert, or something like that, in the comments. I have no idea what that was. Can somebody enlighten me? I'm assuming it was some sort of Amazon promotion, but past that, I don't know..

Guys, comment on the latest posts!
So I scrolled down the blog today and found a bunch of new comments I haven't seen yet. Some of them are from more than a week ago.
Err... what? I didn't even realize people were commenting! I proceeded to feel like a dick for not replying.
The takeaway? Don't let your comments get buried in the older posts! If you want to tell me something -- anything -- comment on the latest post. That way, not only will I get to see it (and reply.. if you want), but other people checking the site will, too.
So. Just as a recap. Comments are allowed everywhere. But I prefer them on the newer posts.
Easy, right? And we keep things more exciting this way, anyway ;)

Now, you can buy the print book...
The last blog post was a false alarm. I fixed the interior and uploaded the correct files. Anybody purchasing the print book will now get the proper one.

WARNING: Do NOT buy the current print book!
So, the print book went live today.. but Createspace (the people who publish it) screwed up and posted an old, horrible version.
Do not buy it! The interior formatting is absolutely awful. How bad? Something like this:
[insert photo of interior]
Dreadful, right? It is not supposed to be like that. It's supposed to be pretty and clean. Not gag-inducing.
I'm working around the clock to get it fixed at the moment. But for anybody who has already bought it, email me:
[email protected]
And give me your mailing address. I'll send you a copy of the updated, newer version for free. I'll even sign it for you if you want.
