Who is Violet?

When I was deciding what to write for my bio on my website I couldn't find a way to make me sound exciting. I read a friend's version and loved it so much I decided to do something similar.

RANDOM FACTS ABOUT VIOLET

Violet Vaughn is a pen name.

Five years ago I swore I wouldn't own a dog; I wasn't a dog person. I now own three Portuguese Water Dogs named Ollie, Cleo and Jake.

I can play the flute well and own a vintage saxophone I can play badly.

I am not really a blond ;)

I taught skiing at Killington, Vermont and Breckenridge, Colorado.

My husband was a private ski lesson. We were married and pregnant with our first child before we knew each other for a year. We've been married for eighteen years.

I love puns; even bad ones can make me laugh.

I grew up skiing at Sugarloaf in Maine and now ski there most weekends in the winter.

I can touch my nose with my tongue and wiggle my ears.

I have a seventeen-year-old son and a sixteen-year-old daughter.

I had a brief career as a morning news and ski report television host.

I like exercise.

I can and will eat cake for breakfast.

I have had a fan girl crush on Stephen King since I was sixteen. One day I will introduce myself.

I also make lampwork glass beads.

I can make a Dairy Queen twirl on the top of a soft serve ice cream cone, operate a cappuccino machine and make the martini you order.

My 6th grade teacher, Mrs. Matheson told me I should be a writer. I finally listened.
