Faren Siminoff, Ph.D., J.D., is a professor of American History at Nassau Community College. She is a graduate of New York University and Syracuse University College of Law. Her previous non-fiction books include the well received, Crossing the Sound: The Rise of Atlantic American Communities in Seventeenth-Century Eastern Long Island, (NYU Press, 2004) and (as co-author) Tackling College Admissions, (Rowman & Littlefield, 2008).
