Wayne and I have been eating a lot of fresh vegetables lately. We signed up with a local farming group called Veggies of Vero and an assortment of veggies is delivered to our doorstep every week. It sort of forces me to plan the meal around that week's selection, which is a good thing. Last night I fried up some green tomatoes.
When we’re in Port Orchard I enjoy visiting the farmer’s market there and cooking with that week’s fresh ingredients, too, but delivery to my doorstep, that’s a wonderful convenience. We haven’t always been so good about eating our veggies. Wayne calls the bottom drawer of our refrigerator THE ROTTER because everything that gets put in there tends to rot. I’m trying my best not to let that happen!
