I have just finished Shawn Maravel's first novel, Volition. Anyone who is interested in a fast paced, exciting and surprising story should get a copy of this book. Shawn Maravel shows great promise for becoming a great novelist. Her sense of detail and her ability to keep a story interesting is powerful. Jan Marquart

In 2006 an intuitive told me to sit on my five acres in Lamy, NM with pen and paper and record stories spirits on the land wanted me to document. It took me until 2008 to summon up enough courage to take on such a weird task. Sitting in the middle of century old pinion and juniper trees with pen poised, I soon began to document stories from different voices. This book is these stories.
