Should I even bother writing anything else?

It's getting to the point where it's hard to tell. Is my writing that mechanical seeming? Are question marks being used to mark questions inside quotes passe?

It's a lot of work to see people just talking badly about my efforts all the time. Is it really worth it?

I'm not sure anymore.

Isaac Sir,

I actually read most of your series and thoroughly enjoy them. Don't let the naysayers get to you. I am biting my nails for the next Infected and Demonverse Books. There are always critics, either ignore them and keep on writing or let them win and quit. I personally hope to see you keep on writing.

Mikey Dude, I've enjoyed those of your books which haven't been brimming with angst and misery.

I keep buying for a pretty simple reason: after having read thousands of genre books, more often than not I can pick up the standard plot structure tells from the first dozen, or even first few pages.

It's not necessarily the writers' fault, they have just been indoctrinated by the TV networks and the movie studios to follow those patterns. They haven't yet had the kinds of life experiences which would allow them to raise their heads over the hedges to see what else there could be, or alternatively look at the staples sideways, from a new perspective.

I can't tell where your books are going to be going, excepting the often-present Über-Job character, who will predictably get dumped on, and who will inexplicably not take the simple steps away from the shit shower.

Keep on truckin'.
