Jam_Reads_Smut I never thought there was another person who would love the book and movie as much as I did and still do to this day. Before that book I was always against reading for school, I never liked it. I remember either I was sick and out for a week or it was the same time I went on a vacation, but when I came back this was the reading assigned in my 8th grade English class. Now I'm not sure what I did first, I think I watched the movie after asking my mom if there was a movie and she got it for me. When I watched it something clicked and i wanted to read it. I read the book 5 more times after that and finished the assignment before anyone else to where I wanted the teacher to give me all the work because I was so anxious. Now so many years later I still refer to that book as my key to loving to read. All the Greasers hold a very special space in my heart. Thank you for reminding me how special this book is to me.

Amazing, Jamie! I'm so happy you have developed a love of reading, and am stoked that The Outsiders was your catalyst. Although I have always loved reading with a burning passion, The Outsiders was the only book we had to read for English that I loved (over 6 years of junior high and high school). These boys speak to the outsiders in all of us. Carry them in your heart. <3
