Luke is a Finalist!

Just received word yesterday that Absolution is a finalist in the 2012 EPIC Awards! I'm thrilled because Luke is my favorite character, and because I truly think it's my best book. I suppose it doesn't pack quite the emotional punch if a reader hasn't read the previous four books, but I hope it still makes an impact. Not sure when the winners are announced, but it was nice to be nominated.

I have one last set of edits to do on another Callie Croix story, then I'm jumping back into Crash and Burn. It's been tricky to figure out how/where I can have Ace and Ryan spend time together to form some sort of a relationship, because of their difference in rank, and because the book is set at Bagram. But I'm up for the challenge!

Wendy Congratulations once again Kaylea! I've got my fingers and toes crossed for you :P

And now *squealing* because Ace and Ryan's story's coming, yay!

Kaylea Cross Thanks, Wendy! But don't squeal too loudly because I'm only a quarter of the way through the draft of Ryan and Ace's book. Will be a very long time before it finally comes out!

Ann Luke was absolutely a winner with me. One of the best bks I've read. Will keep my fingers crossed you get the win. Loved this series. Looking forward to more Bagram Ops too!!! Bummed having to wait for Ryan/Ace's book. Maybe I'll just re-read Rayne through Luke again.

Kaylea Cross Thanks, Ann! Luke has a very special place in my heart, and I'll admit that I still miss him.

I'm bummed that I have to wait for Ryan and Ace's book too, since I still have to write the darn thing. Will get cracking very soon.

Ann You write the most hunky, adorable, sweet, sexy, macho alpha males. They're all - I want one of those for me!!! Panty melters every one. :-)

Kaylea Cross Panty melters! Ha. That's one of the best compliments I've ever received :) I'm glad you think they're so yummy. I think I'm getting better with each book, and I hope that trend continues. I hope to write many more panty melting alpha male heroes in the years ahead!

Ann Baba - LOL! Pure Hotness, right?!?

Hey, Luke is more than pure 'hotness'! I wrote in my review:
[...]Luke incorporates everything I absolutely love in a hero: protectiveness, strength, respect, loyalty, tenderness. He's got a heart of gold, he's hot and sexy as sin and behind his alpha male behavior he's melting away for his lifetime love, Emily. *sigh* After reading this book my first thoughts were: What a man! He'll hold a very special place in my heart. Always. Irrevocably.[...]

Luke is to die for...!!!
