I know people say this all the time, but I have family from the South and have spent a lot of time there, and I think it’s fuzzier than that. I imagine most people have the usage you mention here, but I hear it used in a broader sense quite often. And in the book itself, it’s a little fuzzy in its application.

I understand that there’s a correct way to use it, but with a fantasy dialect like Outlaw’s, I think there’s a little wiggle room, and certainly, she’s far from the only person who might use it colloquially like this.

Rowan i have definitely heard y'all used to refer to the singular. i've also heard y'all'd've and y'all's.
