I love to read, I really do. Every day, I read the newspaper, my favorite blogs, and my e-mail. It seems that no matter how hard I try, I just cannot find the time to sit down and read a book. There are so many books I want to read too. As a matter of fact, I get a review of the latest great book on the best sellers list practically every time I talk to my mother. She also loves to read, but she actually has the time to sit down and read.

I guess It’s a matter of making the time, but I can look at the time it would take me to read a great book and then I think of all the other things I can accomplish with that time. Well, the book loses.

It’s really funny though. We try so hard to teach our children how important it is to read and how to enjoy a good book. Then we get to the point where we don’t even have the time to sit down and enjoy a book ourselves.

So now to the point. I have absolutely no excuse. Not any longer. You see I’ve always known that there were audio books.

When I was younger, I thought that audio books were for people who were sight impaired or for people who couldn’t read. And add to that, they were much more expensive than hardcover books.

Now that I am older, and wiser, I see that audio books are for everyone! Since I have made this personal discovery, I can listen to a good audio book while driving to work, or while driving my kids to their after school activities. I can even listen while mopping my floor. A good audio book can make even the most mundane chore seem a bit more enjoyable.

So if you see a book that you are just dying to read but have no time to actually sit down to read it, get it on audio. You’ll be amazed at how enjoyable listening to spoken audio books really is.
