When Alfredo turned in his resignation, his superiors were shocked. This had been his dream, they said. No one ran a galactic cruiser kitchen the way he did, they said. He was the best chef they ever had, they said. He couldn't possibly leave, they said.

Alfredo listened. And when they were through, he very calmly stated that once again he had no desire to continue cooking on the Celestial Pegasus, or any other space cruiser ever again.
