What's next with the Stillhouse Lake series?

I know that a lot of people have read Stillhouse Lake, and the follow-up book Killman Creek, and in case you missed it, we just released the third book in the series, Wolfhunter River (late April 2019).

So ... what comes next for Gwen Proctor and her ever-embattled family? We've moved away from the immediate threat of her ex-husband Melvin, the serial killer, and we brought down a major conspiracy in the first two books. But where does that leave Gwen? Her whole life has changed in a way she never expected ... but that doesn't mean she has fewer enemies to deal with, either. Notoriety brings its own kind of special hell for her.

In Wolfhunter River, Gwen answers a call for help from a woman she's never met, and ends up in a terrifying small town with secrets nearly everyone will kill to keep.

That same impulse to help others will take her into new situations in Bitter Falls (the upcoming release due out 1/21/2020) ... and a brand new job investigating a cold case that gets hot fast once she takes it on. With a missing young man to find, Gwen's journey will get complicated by local enemies and a mysterious young woman who can't be trusted ... but might hold the key to unlocking what happened to Remy Landry.

And yes, Gwen will be back in another book to follow (or at least, that's how I'm planning it right now). As always, of course, it very much depends on YOU, the readers, deciding this is a story you want to keep following. You're the curators of popular culture, and what authors do (and don't do) often rests on how you vote with your book buys.

I appreciate you so much. And I'm a voracious reader, myself, of course; right now, I'm eagerly diving into the new Lincoln Child and Douglas Preston novel, Verses for the Dead. (I am a sucker for a Pendergast book!)

And I just had an entirely satisfying and fun read of Rachel Hawkins's Prince Charming (formerly titled Royals) and Her Royal Highness, which are interconnected but standalone books that will just sweep you away with their effortless charm. If you love royal-watching, this is definitely the series for you.

Back soon with more about upcoming projects, but again: thank you. It's a pleasure to be writing for you.

Heather Haynes The Stillhouse Lake series is like nothing I've ever read before (and as a librarian and avid reader that's saying something lol) I finished Wolfhunter River in three sittings and just loved it! I love Gwen, and I'm excited to see all the new chapters of her life unfold! But now I must wait....
Your work is incredible!

Claire (Caerleon) Winter This is one of my favorite series. I'm so glad there are going to be more books coming out. I just wish it was easier to access. Kobo and Chapters/Indigo don't carry this series so I have to order from Amazon, but it's so worth it.

Lois I have loved the Stillhouse series so far. I can relate to the anger that Gwen feels towards her controlling husband. I can not wait for the fourth book in January. Thanks for writing this series and please keep Gwen going.
