LOOK WHO'S TALKING
Talking about yourself will only get you so far. It's when a third person talks about you to the second person that you'll really get the attention of the second person. But if you hadn't already told a second second person about what it is that you're doing, that second person wouldn't have become a third person.
People are more likely to be interested in what you're doing if they hear about it from an outside party. The hard part is finding something interesting enough to get people talking.
