Anyway to answer your question, the cover is usually what catches my attention. And then it's the title. If I like both then I usually go on to see what the book is about. Sometimes when I like the cover of a book, but not the name, I find myself not even reading what the book is about.
Like you I've found myself skipping over really good books, cuz the cover or the title didn't call out to me. So I think that the cover and title of books is very important, if you want to draw people in.


Covers and titles are very important I find myself picking some books up to read the back just because it looks good. That's actually what happened with this series. I saw Born at Midnight and the title and cover intrigued me and that's why I read the backstory and decided to buy the book!
