Rasmenia Massoud I think "do your own thing" is some of the best advice there is for anyone embarking on any creative endeavor.

I mean, I'm far from being the best writer there is - not even close - but I'm the best at doing my thing. I figure it can only go up from there. Imitation is a great form of flattery, but it can't take you to the new heights that following your own heart & gut can.
