Ugly, Ugly, Ugly

I have seen every presidential debate ever held.

I began taking an interest in politics when I was still in grade school.    The first presidential election I followed was the race between John Fitzgerald Kennedy and Richard M. Nixon in 1960.   I was twelve years old.   It was an historic occasion.

Most of you are probably way younger than me.   JFK died before you were born.   You may not even remember the day he was shot, let alone the election that won him the presidency, or the debates that ...

C.E. Crowder Had he been anyone other than the two people in debate, he would have been nabbed and thrown out of the room by security. I half think he should have been anyway, given a time out, something.

David Applebury It was a rather embarrassing thing to watch. Seeing two professional politicians act in such an un-professional manner was extremely disconcerting.

Caleb Here's hoping it's Mad King Donald's last term in office.

Maria Rose Please people get over your TDS, I can't believe that adults or people of adult age think that constant negative remarks about a person who is a position of high authority is perfectly okay because social media claims it is the popular idea to do. As far as the debate, the problem with the debate was the biased moderator, who did nothing to control the debate proceedings, because he was more concerned with getting his preferred candidate to speak more, even if he had to coax him (Biden) to answer. He (Wallace) knew the type of temperance that Trump presents and did not use professional tactics to adjust, in fact he provoked President Trump as if he (Wallace) was one of the people debating rather than his position as moderator. Jerry Springer could have done it bette.

Kyle Campbell Based Maria Rose, I know you definitely respected the "position of high authority" while that "Kenyan Muslim terrorist" was President, didn't you? President Trump, you doesn't support the civil rights act and lusts after his own daughter certainly didn't when he asked for Obama's birth certificate to be released when no other president had ever had to do so. And lets not forget the FBI report of President Trump and his KKK supporting father refusing to rent apartments to African-Americans and marking their applications with a big circled "C" for "Coloured" (Yes, I'm British) and do I need to go on? Friends with Epstein and Ghislane, ran underage beauty pageants, court documents alleging that he and Epstein raped a child.

Did President Trump's daughter's breasts grow as big as her Mother's after all? I'm not even sure which of his ex-wife's (Evangelical Christian's love their divorce) is Ivanka's mother, so please let me know if you do, after all, President Trump is a good Christian man and we should pay attention to the things he talks about.

Garrett Nicolai @Maria: While I agree that the moderator was the problem, it was hardly that he was biased. The simple fact of the matter is that one of the candidates was not content to follow the rules, and the moderator lost control of the "debate". This forced both candidates to start yelling at each other and over each other. A mute button on the microphones, under the control of the moderator, would have made a world of difference.

message 7: by Caleb (new)

Caleb @Maria - you are blaming the victim. Trump knew the rules, he chose not to follow them. If he is incapable of even attempting to follow the rules and staying silent for more than ten seconds, he's incapable of being president.

Eddy I got instantly blocked from https://www.facebook.com/Westeros for replying to this post with "You and every other celebrity. So over you GRRM". What a bunch of emotionally unstable libturd fascists.

message 9: by Caleb (new)

Caleb Eddy, Trump only won the primaries because of his celebrity name recognition. Ted Nugent and Kid Rock do quite well, as do other conservative celebrities. What you mean is, you don't care about what celebrities think when they disagree with you. In fact, the fact that you posted shows that you do care, and they're opinions make you angry.

message 10: by Eddy (new)

Eddy No, All I'm saying if whoever runs the Westeros Facebook page can't take the slightest criticism because that's all it took to get instantly blocked under a minute after my post. Libs are so sensitive.

message 11: by elizabeth (new)

elizabeth #let's not generalize; while some people are definitely too sensitive, calling people names (like "facist" and "libturd") isn't an effective way to start a dialogue of constructive criticism, it only alienates people further and can be offensive. I'm really sorry you had a bad experience @Eddy, but not all liberal/leftist people are the same-- some of us are even quite pleasant:)
