After submitting this as an article to the Society for Shamanic Practitioners, hoping to be published on their platform, I was informed that it did not fit their requirements. In an editorial comment, it was noted that I didn’t have “a strong sense of audience–it’s like she’s having an internal (occult?) conversation.” In my disappointment, I had to laugh because the comment is entirely correct.
