Grab Some Happy

I’m going to get on and off this part of the blog pretty quick. Laura’s been dealing with a surprising amount of negativity and–it must be said–rudeness–on the FB pages. A whole bunch of whining, complaining, even accusations. Just a world of negativity which I’ve certainly noticed has become so unfortunately prevalent over the last … Continue reading Grab Some Happy →

N.L. What is seriously wrong with people? It's sad that some are so unhappy they feel they need to lash out at others. It appears that from behind a computer screen, haters are very brave and will say anything without remorse.
That being said, you are very lucky to have such a wonderful social media content manager/person working with you.
Love and strength to you both! Beautiful photos BTW.
Kindest,
NLW

Cynthia Love the pics of spring gardening. Just did that myself. Who isn’t happy with a mess of pretty plants? Anyone suffering the uglies should just move on. Guess they got thrown off other social media so they are desperate. But life is tooo dang short. Look for the happy indeed.

K.R. Richards I've noticed people being ruder lately also. I would never dream of commenting in a negative way on someone's post, etc. If someone asked my opinion, I'd tell them what I truthfully thought, but in a nice, constructive way. If someone doesn't ask for my opinion, I wouldn't give it. ;) But if I agree with something, or see something I like, I give compliments. And I absolutely love your garden! I love spring too, and love my mornings in the garden. Love checking everything, watering with my red watering can and waiting for my seeds to sprout. I love nasturtiums too. I look forward to this season all year long. Digging in the dirt brings peace, and watching everything grow brings happiness. I love, love your fairies, and all your garden ornaments. They are gorgeous. Happy Spring! Hopefully the negative people will go find a negative echo chamber somewhere else. One can hope.

Jane Sparks Thanks for the update! I'm so sick of the negativity too! Maybe Alaska will make it in a future book?!

Gina Briganti Gorgeous flowers, Alaska, family, and fun. Thanks for the happy, Nora!

Suzanne Love the happy photos, flowers and family Nora!
I agree with you—out with the negativity—prefer to devote my energies to my doggies, family and friends who support me!
Best Wishes always & please keep writing!!

Lela Huskies/malamutes... arctic breeds in general, have a profound way of finding their happy! They are challenging breeds to own, but I ADORE them! I've rescued and worked with them for nearly a third of my life, and even as they bring exasperation, they bring so much JOY!
Toddlers also have a wonderful way with finding their happy. My daughter is slightly older than a toddler, but she still has long happy conversations with flowers. They started years ago with babbles and coos and has now moved on to conversations about fairies and magic, etc.
I'm glad that spring has sprung in your world, and I am so glad that you guys are able to enjoy your little slice of Heaven on Earth!

Sandi Thank you for the pix and for all of your books -they are MY happy. I will tell you and Laura what I tell my family- people are, well people and while some are great - some people suck!. You can only control who you are and what you do. You are so lucky to have had your vaccines - I'm in Canada and we are still waiting - even my daughter who is an essential worker (grocery) and has an auto-immune disease - EDS (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome). Thank you for what you do _ i already have Legacy on hold at the library and can't wait - have warned the family new book is coming soon, Momma gonna be locked in her room - you'll be on your own while I enjoy my Nora time!
Thanks again for your books, your blog and letting us share a peek into your life - Cheers!
