Today I had to share my review for a short story I came across called Sinful Urges written by Sonia Hightower.

Holy hell! This is one hot read! I felt like a voyeur as the story unfolded. The affair that occurs between our leads, Maria, and Juan is conveyed from the point of view of the priest listening to their confessions. I know its kinky right? The story not only follows this steamy affair, but the temptation of a priest as he struggles to remain unaffected and give them the stern advice and counseling they need.

There's a taboo feeling to the whole story that made me feel a bit naughty for reading it.

Especially, since I like to think of myself as a good little Catholic girl. Now I'm not going to spoil the twist by telling you what happens in the end, but I will say you won't see it coming. If adultery makes you squirm this one may be hard to swallow, but it came across as more of a cautionary tale to me. I was impressed by how well written this was, and the ingenuity of the concept itself. I'm not sure where Ms. Hightower gets her plots, but It's a place I would not mind visiting.
