Philosophy can be exoteric or esoteric. The exoteric is meant to be understood by everyone. However, the esoteric is for "the most worthy" — those who love the way symbolism, metaphor, synchronicity, and poetry lift our understanding to new heights.

Central to esoteric philosophy is the tradition of perennialism — the devotional study of ancient, proven principles of consciousness, thought, and being. These are largely spiritual beliefs about humanity's awareness of its authentic identity and our relationship to all things.

In this week's "Wisdom of the Soul" Zoom class, we'll review the core tenets of perennialism as found in shamanism, mysticism, alchemy, neo-platonism, Sufism, Rosicrucianism, Cabala, and the Eastern Vedas as they've influenced yoga, Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, and others who see everything in the One and the One in everything — no illusions of separation.
