Contest: Choose a Title for my New Series
The first draft on my next novel is finished! Yay!! I’m excited about the new series; based on my outlines this series will have four books.
I thought it might be fun to let my fans and friends help me choose a title for it. I anticipate a release date as early as July or as late as Sep this year.
I’ve never tried running a contest before, so hopefully a whole bunch of you like this idea!
Here is the contest: In the comments section on the blog, recommend a title for the book and/or a title for the series. You can recommend more than one of each. I’ll choose the title(s) on May 1.
What does the winner receive?
Everyone that submits an entry will receive a free e-book copy in the format of their choice for their e-reader when it is published.
The person who submits the title I choose for the book will win: (1) In the acknowledgement section at the front of the book, I’ll include a thank you and your name. (2) I will also send you a signed paperback copy when it is available in print. There may be two winners (e.g. one person submits a title for the book and a second that chooses a title for the series).
Here is the book’s synopsis:
Her whole life, it had just been the two of them. Before her mother’s last breath, she gave Camille the information she had craved her entire life: the identity of her father. Daring to contact him, Camille was welcomed by an entire family she never knew existed. But nothing comes without a price, as she discovers when her family claims a legendary heritage tracing back to a centaur touched by Zeus.
As she learns the secrets of her Centaur bloodline, she is drawn into a forbidden love with Drake. Her life may be the blood debt required to pay for her mother’s transgressions. The same person who once held her mother captive, and forced her into decades of hiding, now controls Camille. Her only chance is to seek a piece of her mother’s past that will win her freedom and the life she desperately wants.

I like the title BLOOD DEBT for the book. It jumped out at me and wouldn't shut up when I tried to think of others. However the series, I could only think of, originally(hint of sarcasm), The Centaur Saga.

The Lineange Series is one I've come up with :)

I think since the story is about Camille being a centaur, the series should be called "Kentaurides" which is what the female centaurs are called. As for the first book, I would say "Centaurian Correlation" ? :)Wish u all the best Nancy!

Wow... the synopsis sounds EPIC! I totally agree with Gothic - Blood Debt stood out for me too - completely blocking all my other ideas :) How about Deceitful Blood or Treacherous Bloodlines for the book title?
I can't wait to read this new series! I love the title BLOOD DEBT. It really grabs you and is short enough to still be visible on a book cover reduced to Amazon's thumbnail sizes ;-)I'm still trying to decide on titles for my new series. It's easier to write a novel than to name it!

I know, right? I thought this would be fun and am sure someone will come up with the perfect title! I was going to use Irrevocable but my son talked me out of it and the contest was born!
i was thinking The Centaur Bloodline, but I felt like, the title might already reveal the mystery of the story... so I'll go along with the others with Blood Debt.. It sounds mysterious enough :)

Well you know we both love to read the same books, of course your books are definitely included. Now, I would prefer a release date more towards Mother's Day. Charles' birthday seems a little bit late in the year; mine is just around the corner. :)

Okay here's my title entry - haven't read the others so not sure if it's already been mentioned but I just thought simply 'Bloodlines'. Sometimes one word titles are really catchy :). So that could be the title of book 1 itself or the whole series (i.e. The Bloodlines Series or whatever lol) Great idea for a contest!
