The parable, "You reap what you sow" has a sister-allegory, which is just as true — "You go where you look."
It brings to mind George Harrison's lyric, "If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there."
When we obsess on avoiding what we wish to avoid, we attract that undesirable outcome, which we resist and become stuck. So it is imperative that we envision clear, specific goals and strategies.
Knowing what you want is the first step to getting it. Do you know what you want? Do you know why you want it? Can you imagine already having it, or is your mind full of reasons why you'll probably never get there?
