Everything Audiobook

Wait. What? What’s going on here? Is this some sort of glitch in the matrix?

No. No it is not.

I am, in fact, posting new blogs two days in a row.

I’m also, by no small coincidence, running around like a chicken with my head cut off. This is actually a good thing, at least in terms of me continuing my pursuit of occasional non-perfection. By which I mean it’s better for me to post up a pretty good blog that’s timely, rather than post up a perfect one a year too late.)

So despite the fact that I ...

Ian Hey Deryk. I feel you.

I think all of the authors I admired are off writing game content. Just like most of the greatest technical minds of our generation are trying to get you to click on ads.

Recep Anıl Kaya Good things take time but not 12 years man! It wont live up to the hype of 12 years so release something anyway. at least finish what you started

The book is literally up for pre-order. It comes out on the 14th of November.

Yeah, I don't think he is talking about a stupid novella, we want day three!

Yeah, I don't think he is talking about a stupid no..."

Spot on, nobody is interested in a novella that everyone has already read, it's just been rewritten to con more money from the public, unfortunately for him, the public caught onto this lowlife thief a long time ago.

Daniel Hamad You sound like someone that doesn't know the history here, Amanda. He literally had people pay for something he didn't deliver.

Rothfuss seems to treat his fans like a never-ending cash cow. Yeah, writers own their stuff, and you can't force them to write, but you also can't keep waving a carrot in front of people without realizing it's a bit like torture. If you saw someone holding a steak just out of a dog's reach all the time, you'd be annoyed, right? Well, welcome to the same vibe.

We can practically smell the success, but after years of this, our excitement has turned into resentment. Then one day, he offers to give us a taste if we donate to a charity. But nope, it's just a trick.

I've lost all respect for the guy. Not finishing the third book is one thing, but treating his fans like this is a whole other level.

message 10: by ThisGuy (new)

ThisGuy Patrick Rothfuss has been intentionally defrauding donors of his own charity by 2 years.

message 11: by Ed (new)

Ed Thanks Patrick. Totally forgot about you and that I was following you here. Unfollowed.

Kendan Chaulk Imagine being in the position to be an all-time legendary fantasy author, but just letting your legacy be tainted forever by the way you handle business. I'll read the book when (if) it ever releases, but you've lost all respect in the fantasy community at this point. Nobody cares about your blogs or novellas. Take a hint.

message 13: by Karl (new)

Karl Siddons Het Pat. Just here to say, I am glad you seem to be in a lot better mental state. I along with many others are rooting for you at the finish line, whenever it may be :)

Stay healthy friend, and don't listen to these toxic comments.

message 14: by Jésica (new)

Jésica I can't respond on goodreads, but I'm seeing people in the comments that need to get a life. You have a serious problem if the release of a fantasy book makes you feel so much hate and resentment. Just find something else to read and let Patrick do with his work as he pleases.

The same for me, there are so many other better series out there to be getting on with, rather than this one.
