I’ve always been interested in other authors’ writing processes, and how they vary so widely, but yet we all have a way that works for us. There’s certainly no one size fits all here, and I’m convinced that anyone who says otherwise has no idea what they’re talking about.

In this post, I’ll delve into more of how Oceansong began (as a romantic tragedy novella, no less), some of my inspirations behind it, my chaotic drafting process that somehow makes sense for me, and finally, how much research I actually had to do to make the story as authentic as possible.
