He’s not a handsome but childish fuckup who everyone else more tolerates than likes. He’s clever, competent, and ballsy as hell.

And, if I had any doubts, this would have been the moment that reassured me that Gail Simone gets Rogue.

Where fighting is concerned, she’s confident enough to stroll up to a dragon with two buddies at her side and pick a fistfight. But when things get rough on the personal, emotional level?

She runs. She hides.

I haven’t kept up with a comic in fully twenty years - since literally 2004 - but goddammit we sure are back.
