I’m enjoying the Uncanny X-Men 2024 run so much because, after blowing through TAS, ‘97, and the movies, and jumping into the comic realm for the first time, I found that my gut feeling of relation to Rogue’s character was 1000% correct

there’s a beauty to the way that her inner monologue and her thoughts are spoken in the comic medium that deepen her character so much. she’s so down on herself and so self-conscious because of what she’s been through and what she continues to grapple with, but she’s STRONG, and she KNOWS she’s strong. she’s such a beautiful example of how someone can be outwardly confident and still have inner self-hate, and doubts stemming from intrusive thoughts that eat at you like bugs.

basically, comic Rogue makes me wanna look every '97 Rogue hater in the eyeballs and punch their teeth out.
