Now? The continuously bankrupt State of California has come up with its next great plan to “put Californians back to work” according to Governor Moonbeam. They will invest billions and billions in perennially negative NPV (i.e. constant money losing) high speed rail. Who cares if no one will use it. It looks so pretty and the Chinese and Europeans have them, so therefore we must! 

California will eventually get a massive bailout from our Federal Government. It has to. It is by definition, to big to fail. But, they are so totally fucked up out there it makes you wonder what happened to that great state and if they can ever make it back.
