Mid Week Inspiration: Rekindling the spark, this gal takes it back to a place of love and joy

Mid Week Inspiration : Re Kindling the Spark

Re Kindling the Spark

Do you ever have that moment of clarity where you realize your life is all work with no play and you’ve become a very dull Jack or Jane? I looked at myself in the mirror and I didn’t like what I saw. The spunky gal with a sarcastic sense of humor, give em hell attitude, and the pension for marching to the beat of her own drummer was getting dull, boring, and overworked. All the things I never wanted to be. Come on I’m the girl my best friend said had to be a writer so my eccentric behaviors would be self explained. Lol … true story.

This is why yours truly had made some major changes. Don’t worry I’m not stopping writing or slowing down my momentum. I’m just prioritizing and uping the “joy” factor. What’s the joy factor, that’s Shyla speak for what makes you happy. I love writing but it depletes as well as refuels so I always count on my other loves to rejoice me when I’m drained low. I’ve mentioned many times I love music, but I don’t think I’ve mentioned I’m a craft-a-holic. I think I do projects as much for me as for the children. Nope, I’m not ashamed.

So crafting is my game and DIY is my game. The kiddos and I are going to have a blast this week as we cut, color, paste, and mold our way to creative heaven and sensory stimulation. Just making plans and doing prepwork for the rest of the week has me hurtling back toward my state of Zen. The pathways of my brain, twisted as it may be :Winks: are illuminated like a lightning storm. It feels amazing. I was named after Super Girl in the Superman comic verse and sometimes I forget I’m not really required to be her.I always say life is about the little moments but I haven’t been taking enough time to enjoy mine.

Have you ever had a similar “Aha” moment? What did you change?

In the spirit of fun and inspiration I’m participating in a Blog Hop today !

The Next Big thing Blog Hop

I was invited by the wonderful Nikki Prince and There are many more fabulous authors participating , Vivi Dumas, Louisa Bacio
