Word for the Year

I'm on a search for my word for the year.  My word for 2012 was magnify, and that came to me early.  It sometimes happens that way, and in other years it will be mid-January or longer before I settle on my word.  Friends and readers are offering suggestions, and while I appreciate everyone's effort, my word has to come from God.  My son offered the best idea to date.  The 2013 word for the year that he put forth: Seahawks.  Come to think of it, that's not such a bad idea.  Go Hawks!

Robin Debbie, I just wanted to let you know that I love your books. It brings so much joy to my holidays to reads your holiday stories and watch the movies some of them have been made into. And while bringing joy into anothers life, especially with stories, is a special gift, even it pales when I realize how profoundly you have touched my life with your books like One Perfect Word and God's Guest List. Thank you so much. Thankfully God has inspired my new word for the year, but through you he did more than that. I have shared your "One Perfect Word" with my sister and my daughter this year. I can't wait to see what he does in all our lives one word at a time.

elabelle I'm just now reading _One Perfect Word_ and am inspired to choose a word to focus on in 2013. I'm still searching for my word, too. My husband has offered a suggestion; he keeps telling me that he knows it's MY word...but I'm not so sure yet. :) I'd love to hear the word you finally settle on. I think it's so interesting to hear how others are guided with their word choice. Best to you and yours...

Bridget Sphung I like how your word must come from God - very appropriate. However, I LOVE your son's idea! I would also love it if this could be the Seahawk's year. I heartily agree - GO HAWKS! (Maybe Beastmode should be your word - okay that should be two, darn it!)

Chelsea When I read one of your books which mentioned the concept of a word for the year, I said to myself that that would be so difficult to do, to decide on one word. But now that I read your blog, I am reminded of a word that would work for me this year: PEACE.

Thanks! :-D
