Word for the Year

To the best of my knowledge my husband has put to memory only one verse from the entire Bible.  It’s in Ephesians and in part says:  Wives submit to your husbands . . .

I’ve mentioned my struggle to find my word for this year. Friends, when God sends me a word it isn’t one I’ve chosen, it’s one He’s led me to and yes, my word for 2013 is submit.  It came to me over the weekend and I felt like I got conked over the head with it.  You can imagine how excited Wayne was—he’s been wearing the biggest grin ever since.

Debra Submit does not mean roll over and let someone walk over you as many have come to see it. It means give the proper respect to your husband and let him bear the responsibility of leadership in the home. It is actually a huge relief to not shoulder that burden. In today's world this is a hard thing to do since everyone wants to do what THEY want to do disregarding their spouse.
Remember the retort. Love your wife the way Christ loves the church. Now that's agape love and love doesn't get any better than that.

elabelle Thank you for sharing that with us. I am always excited when God directs me in a way that wasn't even on my radar; it reminds me how much I need His wisdom. I hope you are excited, too...as excited as you husband, ha. :) I'm still waiting (somewhat impatiently at this point) for my word. (Maybe it's "patience"!...naah) Best to you & yours...
