Giving the Reader Credit

We are trying to make the same kinds of points that preachers do. But no one complains that his preacher is too preachy. That would be like saying a ballerina is too dancy. But preachiness on paper offends readers’ sensibilities.

Axle Black I hardly feel qualified to comment on an opinion of Jerry B. Jenkins. And I know that I'm not qualified to get preachy. But I agree.
Mature Christians may be able to digest sermons with deep Scriptural content and benefit greatly from them. But, I feel that those poor souls that I'm striving to reach in 'Low Road High Road' would be confused and turned off. We certainly don't want to turn off anyone with the slightest interest in Christ.
Axle.
