Interest in released titles seems to ebb and flow around key dates in the year, with a gradual tailing off of interest in titles that have been out for a while, and which aren’t being advertised as frequently (if at all).
To my pleased surprise, a couple of my older titles have suddenly taken off on iTunes. I have had a look at the iTunes listings to see whether there is any specific reason why they may have been suddenly back in vogue, but can’t seem to see any reason why there is sudden interest in something that has been out for a while. I’m not complaining, but if I could find out why these titles have suddenly picked up in interest, i could do the same for some of my other works.
It’s rather nice timing, as my next book should be out in the next few weeks. The manuscript has gone off to the editor and, due to its length, I should have it back with enough time to publish before the end of the month. It is going to work out nicely, as it dovetails with a title released in a limited manner earlier this year. Both titles will end up released across all my regular sites by the end of June.
