Julie Powell The problem with paperbacks is the price - especially for independent authors. I love the feel and smell of a book in my hand, but they're definitely in decline.

As to marketing, I find promoting almost impossible because I have no money, however, the only appeal for paperbacks in today's world would be - in my opinion - is that they feel like 'real' books and seeing them on a shelf is very satisfying, there to peruse whenever...

Ebooks are somewhat clinical, have no 'history' or magic about them - that remembrance of childhood stories or satisfaction of touching the words /pictures.

There's nothing better than walking into a bookshop and...wow, it's like a portal to every world imaginable.
