Mid-wweek Inspiration : Random Acts of Kindness

“I used Grammarly to grammar check this post, because without it, my sleep deprived brain pre coffee needs the boost. * huddles around a coffee pot.

We’re at one of my favorite days. Mid-week Inspiration! Random Acts of Kindness

Today I want to talk about Random Acts of Kindness. Right now I’m participating in a crazy, scavenger hunt to benefit an incredible foundation of the same name. It’s called Gishwhes. Have you ever heard of it? No? Well, I and fourteen other teammates have a week to complete as many tasks on a list to the best of our ability. They range from the funny to the serious, and touching. As I work through this list, meet new people, and explain what I’m doing to others, I feel a part of something bigger than myself. It’s been inspiring, and eye opening.

As a writer, I think stepping outside of your everyday life and viewing things going on around you is essential. Nothing kills creativity as much as routine. I refer to it as putting quarters in the creative machine. You have to pay to play.

When’s the last time you felt a part of something bigger? Is it time you perform a random act of kindness?
