 I'm having a really hard time focusing on Tristan's character.  He's a slippery one:  arrogant but not unkind, macho but vulnerable, physical and emotional.  And really, really repressed.  I'm trying to "show, not tell" but he's very, very good at hiding.  And I'm afraid that when I show what he's thinking he comes off as too whiny.  AND his relationship with Charles makes him seem entirely too "girly," which he definitely isn't.
