*Blog Tour: Euphoria by Erin Noelle*

HI Brats!

Today the blog tour for Erin Noelle's 'Euphoria' makes a stop here at TheSecretBookBrat HQ :) Be sure to check out Michelle's 5 star review :)

Blurb

After a series of catastrophic misunderstandings and impulsively poor decision-making, Scarlett MacGregor finds herself once again torn between two loves, as different as they may be. Lacking proper closure with their relationship, accompanied by the overwhelming guilt for her role in his devastating downfall, Scarlett resolves to help Mason recover and reclaim his life as a budding rock star. However, now that he has finally claimed her as his, Ash Walker is bound and determined to keep her by his side, and he will go to any lengths necessary to do just that.

Mason Templeton has hit rock bottom. He’s in love with a girl whose heart and soul belong to another and he’s partied his way off of an international music tour that was supposed to be his big break. Returning home for rehab sounds like the worst possible way to start a new year, but when an unexpected friendship emerges, he begins to realize that maybe everything does happen for a reason.

Euphoria is the third and final installment of Scarlett, Ash, and Mason’s self-discovering journeys to happiness and understanding the meaning of true love ~ the kind that begs for complete surrender

Recommended for readers 17+ due to sexual content and harsh language.

EuphoriaReview byMichelle
WHERE do I start with this one??? This might be the hardest review I have ever had to write and I am going to try and do it without any major spoilers. I hate spoilers in reviews because in my opinion...the whole point of a review is to make people want to actually read the book. First of all, for those who are not aware, Euphoria is the 3rd book in the Book Boyfriend series which are written by Erin Noelle. If you haven’t read Metamorphosis and Ambrosia then you are going to want to avert your eyes and step away...now! Ok, now that we have that settled….as you all know, this series is a love triangle and is the story of Scarlett, Mason and Ash.

Euphoria picks up right where Ambrosia left off. In Ambrosia, Scar chose Ash and Mason has gone on a self- destructive, drug and alcohol induced bender. Ambrosia ends with Scar being called and told that Mason has overdosed and is in the hospital. Scarlett leaves Ash and rushes to be by Mason’s side. Mason wakes up and says the words that have haunted me for so many months…
“Am I in heaven now, Angel?”
Talk about GUTTED! This poor man has been through SO much :( Oh yeah...did I mention I am die hard, never wavering, true to a fault, 110% #teamMason? It is important that you know that but with that being said, I actually like Ash. I wish him no ill and feel he earned Scar’s love and deserves it. He just isn’t who I would pick. I will chose my tattooed, pierced, bad ass rocker boy any day of the week! Anyway...Mason is now awake and Scar is there and determined to help him get clean and not fail him again. She feels responsible for his downward spiral and wants to help him in any way she can so she makes him a promise…
“ I won’t fail you. I promise I won’t let you fall again.”
However, not even 24 hours after she says this, she is back in Ash’s arms and on a plane home leaving Mase to fend for himself. At this point I am thinking “here we go again...nasty, self centered Scar is back in this book” and I am getting kind of disappointed. Luckily, Erin Noelle must have known my heart couldn’t take another book of hating Scar (and I really did hate her in Ambrosia) and she turned my girl around.
Meanwhile, Mason looks like he is going to jump right back onto that path of self-destruction until he is given an ultimatum by his record label. Go to rehab and get clean or no more shows and no more touring. Luckily Mason makes the right decision and goes to rehab. While he is there, Scarlett comes to visit him on a regular basis and they find a way to make peace and be friends.  Scarlett realizes she will always love both of these men but her heart remains true to Ash with whom she is deliriously happy. I found that I was really able to make my peace with the whole Mason/Scar/Ash situation and I was happy with where they all were at in their lives. Scarlett and Ash were starting their lives together, Mason was clean, Scar and Mase were friends...life was good.  Of course, just as I am thinking “I like where this is headed and I can’t wait for my Mase to get a kick ass girl”...Erin does something that I TOTALLY did NOT see coming! I am talking about something SO huge...I was left looking like this...

You seriously cannot even comprehend what happens and I won’t tell you but be warned...I was reeling for DAYS! Book hangover does not even begin to describe how I felt. There isn’t a word for how I felt! Once I got air back in my lungs, got up off the floor,  and pushed my eyes back into their sockets, I was able to finish the book and this is what I have to say...
Some people are going to hate this book. I have already witnessed quite a bit of this backlash. What people need to remember is that this is Erin’s story to tell. No one else’s. She wrote it how it played out in her head knowing that it would cause a shit storm with A LOT of people...and it did! This book is real life. Real life is not all rainbows and unicorns. Real life is ugly and things don’t always happen the way you expect them but that doesn’t mean you can’t still find a way to be happy. It just may be a different path than you expected to a different kindof happiness. I may not necessarily agree with the turn that the story took, but I respect Erin’s choice to write it the way she felt it and I ask you to keep this in mind as you read…
“ Many psychologists refer to euphoria as a state of intense happiness and self-confidence, a blissful self-clarity if you will, and most people throughout their lives search and strive for this feeling. Why many never achieve it is because they never learn how to love themselves. When you discover the true beauty of self-love, then and only then, will you experience pure euphoria.”

I can’t even begin to tell you how much I loved this book! For me it was the best of the 3 so far and that is saying a lot because I adored Meta. Lastly, I will tell you that the Epilogue is probably the best one I have ever read in any book and it was truly EPIC for me. I wish I could give this book more than 5 stars because it was that good. I can’t recommend Euphoria enough! It is a MUST read…..

Excerpt

Embracing her one last time, I whispered in her ear, “I love you, butterfly… ‘your curves and all your edges, and all your perfect imperfections.’ I’ll see you tomorrow night.”

“I love you, too, Ash. ‘You’re my end and my beginning; even when I lose, I’m winning,’” she whispered back. Then she grabbed her bag and headed for the security check point. Right
before turning the corner where I couldn’t see her anymore, she looked back at me and blew me
a kiss and made hand hearts. Damn, she was beautiful. I stood there for several minutes with a
goofy ass grin on my face. I wasn’t expecting her to sing the next lyrics of the song to me, but it
filled me with an indescribable feeling of warmth and love. ~Ash
