"In The Beginning" Blog Tour: Day 5: A Deleted Scene

DELETED SCENE: Valentine’s Day With Ronny and Cole
Hey everyone! It’s Day Five of the “In The Beginning” blog tour and it’s ALSO Valentine’s Day!! Or in my case “Singles Awareness Day” (Let’s hear it for all my singles out there!!!) So because I’m single and Cole and Ronny are TOTALLY rubbing their whole mated status in my face I’m giving away a free ebook of The Beginning to someone today. You’ll receive the book on the 17th when it releases, but you’ll win it today! W00t! Now, because the boys are here at The Purple Fantasy Den I figured I’d give you guys a “Deleted Scene”. This is one of the scenes that I wrote that didn’t really fit in anywhere so because it didn’t fit anywhere I removed it and decided that I’d give it away as a freebie on my blog at some point. And what better time than during the tour? So I cleaned it up a bit, added some things and tweaked it a bit to make it work for Valentine’s. So enjoy this “Deleted Scene” from The Beginning (Sons of Adam: 1) .

Cole Tronk was a strong lion shifter. He could easily be the King of his own pride if he so wanted to, but he chose not to be. Not because he had not aspirations to lead, but because he had something so much more important in his life, his mate, Ronny Parker. His currently missing mate, Ronny Parker. As Cole stepped into the home he shared with his mate, he sniffed the air trying to catch the scent of his mate, a low rumbling purr rising up from his chest when he caught the delicious scent of not only Ronny, but also of Ronny’s lust. Normally, the scent of Ronny’s lust hanging in the air in such a cloying manner would have sent Cole’s lion into a rage, but the absence of any other male’s scent in the house other than Cole’s kept him calm.It was Valentine’s Day and apparently Ronny was preparing himself for Cole. Cole’s lips pulled back into a self-satisfied grin. He wouldn’t have called himself arrogant before, but the fact that his mate was readying himself for Cole did something to the predator inside of Cole.

He looked up and noticed a folded card on the sideboard table. Stepping over to it, he lifted the card and noticed his name written on the outside. Flipping the card open, he read what was written inside:My Lion,When I tried to think of what to get you for Valentine’s I ran into a problem. You don’t like roses…The card ended there and Cole was confused. He flipped the card over and over, sniffing the air to make sure that there was no subtle scent of blood in the air and that Ronny hadn’t been prevented from being able to finish writing the card. When he didn’t detect any blood, he shoved the card into his pocket and kept walking, following the trail of rose petals down the hallway to the living room. He saw another card and he stopped and picked it up with a smile on his face. It appeared that his mate was playing a game with him. He liked it.You also don’t really like chocolates. At least, not as much as I do.Though you do seem to like my chocolate stick, chocolate balls, and my chocolate buns.So then what should I get you for Valentine’s Day?

Cole growled and stepped forward. “It’s the greatest present ever.” Without another word he pressed two fingers deep inside of Ronny’s body and moaned when the younger man’s body practically sucked the digits inside.“C-Cole. P-please. I need you.”Never one to deny his mate anything, Cole was only too happy to oblige him.Turning his head he glanced down at the condoms on the bed even as he stroked the head of his cock up and down the crease of Ronny’s ass.“I think that I should work my way through every single one of these condoms,” he stated thoughtfully.Ronny gasped. “Cole. There are over thirty condoms over this bed!”Cole chuckled. “Then I guess it’s a good thing that I have tomorrow off huh?”

Buy more condoms.
Blurb:Ronny Parker has always been aware that there was more to life outside of his Harlem apartment. When he goes to work one morning at Starbucks, he finds himself coming face to face with a reality that he was not prepared for. He finds himself the eyewitness to a fight between two shifters, a wolf and a lion, one of which bites Ronny and calls him “mate.” When Ronny wakes up the next morning, he finds himself thrust into a world neither his family, nor his teachers, ever taught him about and he does the only thing he can do. He starts to investigate.Cole Tronk has been taught from an early age that he is never to mate a human, never reveal his true nature to a human, and that he cannot be gay. But when he gets into a fight with his oldest friend outside of a Starbucks and finds himself smelling the most intoxicating scent ever, he throws all of those rules out of the window. Before long, Cole and his mate, Ronny, are on the run from the governing body of the paranormals, humans who have now discovered that paranormals, magicks, and supernaturals exist, and someone from Ronny’s past who is determined to kill them both.
