Radio Spot

Hey fans!
So the radio spot I taped a couple of weeks ago is going to air tonight at 10:00 on 1290 am talk radio.
Don't worry, if you're not able to get the radio station where you are, I will have the pod cast link by tomorrow and will post it on my blog and site.
Ooooh, I'm sooooo excited!!! Next stop, the Oprah Winfry Show? lol

Keith Good for You, P.Q.!!!, I'm very happy for you and look forward to listening to it!!!!

message 2: by P.Q. (new)

P.Q. Glisson Thanks Keith! I'm a little nervous as I have not heard it ahead of time and I had a few awkward moments during the interview. When I get nervous, I tend to forget words. I was trying like crazy to think of the word "accused" but it took about ten seconds of "dead air" for me to remember it. lol
That's why I love writing. You can take your time and think. Plus, you can always bring up the computer's thesarus. lol

Nanea That's so cool, P.Q.!! I'll have to wait for the podcast... So exciting!! :)

P.Q. Glisson Hey Nanea! I know, right?dxsnjmh (hee hee, my dog just walked across the keys and typed doggy code. lol)

message 5: by Nanea (new)

Nanea *Gasp* you have a doggie?! eeek! (sorry... from a person who's been deprived of pets, I get excited from other poeple's )cuuute!

message 6: by P.Q. (new)

P.Q. Glisson Yep. I have the mom and her two puppies and a rescue dog and a cat.
I don't know if you are aware, but shi-tzus have very docile dispositions and make wonderful pets for any type of family and any environment. They are hypoallergenic, don't shed, but you do have to keep them groomed and combed because just like poodles they will mat up.
Why are you deprived?

message 7: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer Lane Hi P.Q., great job on the interview! Your Southern accent is adorable. :) I thought the interviewer asked some good questions that helped me understand the characters and your writing process better. Way to turn something difficult in your career to something awesome (publishing a book!) I think that's great that you're helping other authors navigate the self-publishing world. Jen

message 8: by P.Q. (new)

P.Q. Glisson Awww, thank you Jennifer! I am a southern belle, born and raised. Do you think my accent is as heavy as Paula Deen's?

Helping others is something I've done all my life, one way or another. My mom used to say that I could sell ice to Eskimos. We would go out shopping and I would end up commenting how I liked someone's outfit they were trying on and the next thing you know, they are asking my opinion on every single outfit. My mom would go up to the register and tell the sales lady that they needed to pay me commission! lol
If I'm in a store and there's someone ahead of me who is short paying for something by a few dollars, I give them money. I offer help even when it seems I'm "butting in". As far as I'm concerned, if you don't step up and offer, you never know what a difference you could make in someone's day, even if it's only just a smile. It makes my day for sure.
I don't normally tell people these things but I wanted you to understand more of what kind of person I am.
I guess it's just the way I was raised.

oh cool! I love their name ("shi-tzu shi-tzu shi-tzu!!)
But because of the possible reason of "no room" i have to wait a little while. (probably till my sister goes to college)

message 10: by P.Q. (new)

P.Q. Glisson The Mom is Lilu, then there's "Oreo Cookie Monster, Cookie for short" and "Diva Las Vegas, Diva for short". The rescue dog who has the same coloring as a deer with gold eyes is "Maggie Mae, Maggie for short".

I'm sorry you don't have the room, but a Shi-tzu doesn't get more than a foot tall and about 8 lbs so they are comfortable in small settings. Plus, they are extremely easy to train. I crate train all my dogs and they are usually housebroken by three months old. We installed a doggy door so they can go out whenever they want but even when it's raining outside, they go out or they hold it. Such good dogs!!
