Eve And Roarke With No Body

Recently Laura posed a question on Facebook asking what people thought Eve and Roarke might do if they had a free weekend without a murder to deal with. The most popular answers from readers were: Make a baby and/or find some young child and adopt, and Eve finds blood kin–a kindly grandmother, a sweet long-long sister.

Here’s why I’m going to disappoint those hopeful readers.

As I’ve said before, babies change everything. They must, they should. I’m simply not ready to change the scope and dyna...

C I wouldn't have picked any of those for Eve & Roarke. Those things are so not what their lives are about right now. More like the two of them would go off to their island or Roarke would surprise by going somewhere new and a little outside Eve's comfort zone.

Thanks Nora... I agree with you! I love the excitement and anticipation of the unknown of your story lines. Also, because of who Roarke and Eve are, theres a ton to discover for years. They have a very interesting back story.

Kat I wanted to say that for one weekend of Roarke and Eve had no body/murder to worry over maybe they would just stay at home and spend some quality time together without her (Eve) having to run off and look at a new murder site.
Thank you Nora for all of your wonderful stories both as Nora and JD. Keep them coming.
Kat

Kikkra Reads I wouldn't give them a child. not yet... Just as Nora said... they aren't ready at all!

Lesley Book Lover Totally agree, neither are ready for a child, as they both had hard lives growing up, and still need some "child time" of their own, like going on a real fun romantic holiday, lots of sea, sun, sand and sex maybe, discovering each other fully, with no distractions, just them.

Diane No Kids please - keep to the police procedural!

Kjen Totally agree! Roarke and Eve are awesome enough all by themselves:) I love my child ever-so-much. I also don't mind the fact(most days) that I have to cook, clean, and do 'everyday' things for my family...because it means that I am blessed with an awesome one:) However, when I escape into a book, the whole point is that it's my anti-world...Eve and Roarke have someone to do the stuff I do. They can go somewhere/anywhere at the drop of a hat. Money isn't an issue. Getting a sitter isn't an issue. They get to concentrate on each other, friendships/family, their high profile careers, and having sex....there should always be lots of sex;)JMHO!

Yes - exactly! For those that want the family type book, find another series - leave ID as it is!

Caro All in favor, say Ay! AY! I am totally on board and in agreement with as-is. Kjen said it all. I love my kids, but escaping into a book is just what I like to do...escape!

I am so glad that Kjen and I are not alone with our thinking!

Sharon A Shovan Whatever you write about Roarke and Eve I'm sure it will be amazing. Have never been disappointed with any of their stories. It would be a big change if a baby was involved. Eve would go nuts! I have read all their stories even had to go to the library to find the beginning ones. Keep up the good work. Your are an amazing AUTHOR!
