I get Oprah when she talks about her best friend Gayle. Outside of my boo thang my best knows my darkest secrets and I love her so much. ❤️

Whether we are traveling across the world or getting wasted just to sit in a movie theater and laugh through the film, she is everything and when we are together time flies.

We become kids again.

While I’ve learned so much from her what she’s taught me the most  (absent of an actual lesson) is how to be a good friend.

When times are hard I’m there for her and she’s ALWAYS there for me. When I need to hear the truth she tells me even if it’s hard to listen. With hectic lives between us, I make it my business to inquire about her life without jumping in to tell her about mine.

Having a best friend is God’s sweet way of giving you a companion during life’s journey.

A true best friend is a reflection of the kind of person you want to be. And as with all real friendships they should be cherished.
