Yesterday was a big step for me towards my career as a writer. I was invited to a university as a guest speaker on Iqbal Day.
Allama Iqbal is called 'Poet of the East' and to speak on a platform like that was a milestone for me.
I always saw recognized people coming as guests in my college and university and I wanted, deep down to get that same honor and respect. And yesterday fate gave me that moment of pride.
I was introduced as a young writer and the way people were looking, the way they were inspired, that was all the recognition I needed.
Writing is much more than cheap fame and money. If people don't know you globally, that doesn't make you a bad writer. Your time will come. Just as I hope I will have that time to shine too.
