As I predicted, blog entries have been sporadic. I've been pretty busy trying to keep up with my deadlines before Last Sacrifice and the tour. I'll be leaving town before release day to do some promotion type stuff--so for me, this is all going to kick off in less than a week! Crazy.

If you've missed it, this link will take you to my December tour schedule. Can't wait to meet a lot of you! If you don't live in an area I'll be visiting, you can still order an autographed copy of LS (or any of my other books) from University Bookstore. But this is important: University Bookstore cannot ship LS before release day. So, if you order a signed copy, it will ship on December 7 and then need travel time. If you're dying to read the book that day, then just get it locally. If you do want a signed one and want it to ship on 12/7, you should have your orders in no later than 11/29. U Bookstore needs the lead time both to process the orders (they have hundreds right now) and actually sit me down before I leave town to personalize all of them. So long as no snow storms or other delays stop their shipments, you'll be good to go with 11/29. Orders placed after that can't be mailed out until after I'm back in Seattle on 12/16. The store ships internationally, but all questions about that (and any selling type stuff) are best answered by them.

I push U Bookstore a lot because people like signed books, but seriously, there are good stores out there everywhere, in every country. Your local indie, favorite chain store, or mega online retailer should also be able to sell you LS.

Other news: the first chapter of Last Sacrifice is going to be posted on November 29. Here's what's important about this: it is NOT going up at midnight. So, there's no need to start clicking refresh at 12:01 am. I'm not the one posting it, so I honestly can't tell you when it'll be up. My guess is during American business hours (and remember that with time zone conversions, 11/29 will be 11/30 for Australia and that part of the world). Again, I'm not 100% sure of the time, so I don't advise staying up all night for it. Get your sleep! You need it. Then check here or my website. The instant I'm notified about the posting, I'll pop the link up here for you.

Other questions I've been getting are about when LS is being released in other countries. Australia, the UK, and Canada will have it on 12/7, the same as the U.S. Check with your bookstore or contact your country's Penguin branch with questions. Other countries will get English copies whenever your local bookstore or an importer can ship them in, and they're the only ones that can give you info. Translations always take longer, and at this point, there's no non-English speaking country that will have the book out in their native language on release day.

Lastly, there's a whole mess o' video material out there waiting for you. Penguin Australia is still going strong with their Last Sacrifice teasers on their YouTube channel. I also posted some belated Halloween stuff on Facebook and Twitter, but I don't think it ever got put here. First is a video from Open Road Media interviewing me and going over some of my past costumes. The other video was done by author Daniel Marks and is a hilarious visit to my office during my Halloween party. We're both in costume, and he even *gasp* glimpses Last Sacrifice.
