Yeah, some things you get to do are pretty awesome. This was one of those times. I was researching a script for Lightstorm and Fox in 2002 and got to spend almost a week in Florida at the Kennedy Space Center to watch a launch (canceled due to weather) and to have the run of the place. We visited every hidden corner of the sprawling facility, went ON the unoccupied launch tower, interviewed engineers for two days, and pretty much had my space junkie mind blown again and again.
