Reviews, The Internet, And High School

You know, dear Readers, that I don't comment on reviews for a variety of reasons. I'm the first to tell a fellow writer to buck up, ignore the effing reviewers, and be professional.

I saw Alice Hoffman's Twitter fail the other day, where she called out a Boston Globe reviewer. I winced as I read it. Hoffman was irate because the reviewer had completely given away the plot of the novel–"spoiling" in a major newspaper.
