Me Time

So, its 9.00am and I'm a well polished domestic athlete. I have gotten up (hardest and most strenuous part of the morning marathon), put the load of laundry on, unpacked the dishwasher from last night's wash, made pancakes for her, eggs and bacon for him, toast and coffee for myself and a four course meal has been served on a silver tray to the dog. I have put an exotic menu of varied school lunches into the correct bags and proficiently delivered my standard diatribe of instructions for everyone to get up, get dressed, clean teeth, get bloody ready without me having to tell you…its only your sixth year of schooling! I have tripped over everyone's shoes again and put them all on the shoe rack that everyone else thinks is just a display of wooden planks not to be used for any practical purpose and I have hung out the washing that is now beeping at me persistently to tell me the cycle is done. I have driven everyone to band practice and work and I have walked the dog in the muddy park, picked up his poo and vacuumed and mopped the downstairs living area. My time efficiency is at an all time peak!
…and the best thing about today? It is my one day off!
So I am going to sit down now with a nice cup of coffee and write that next chapter….
