Third Book Syndrome

I’m noticing this common trend in trilogies, where the third and last book of the series is extremely different than the first two books. The story is different, the writing varies, andgenerally, the setting is different.

Not only am I part of the Third Book Syndrome Club, but best sellers like The Hunger Games and Divergent are also guilty of this.

Just a heads up, there will be spoilers from allof these as I’ll use them for examples. If you haven’t read them, but plan to, stop reading now....
