Despite a tottering TBR pile

I am rereading the Harry Potter books.
The kids decided to re-watch the movies and it's been years since I read the books.

I remember my first encounter; saw the first one on the shelf at the library and idly picked it up because it looked fun. Went to check it out and the librarian gasped. There was a waitlist a mile long and it shouldn't have been on the shelf at all. I offered to give it back but she said no, I could have it. Read it, liked it, and when the second came out, I got it.

Yes, it was that long ago that there was only the one :-)

The library got the final one the day before it came out... I volunteered there then and my friend had it clutched in her hands, technically prepping it but heheh, not so much :-)

In our house, I got to read the new ones first because I could finish in a day, then David, then Eleanor (Lauren has only just gotten around to reading them; like me she's a book a day girl).

And once we went to Chapters and lined up til midnight to buy the newest one...those were the days.

Just started Half Blood Prince and oh boy is it ever nice reading it on my ereader instead of trying to hold a huge heavy book and a cup of coffee at the same time.

Vanessa North I just started reading The Sorceror's Stone with my twins about two months ago. We don't read it every night, maybe a chapter a week. I'm really enjoying watching them discover Hogwarts--it's like reading it myself the first time. :)

Oh, reading together is the best! Hope they enjoy it.
