I keep logging on to the reader's choice awards and looking at The Hurricane and thinking, "Is that really my book? Is it really there, or did I imagine it?"

I can't tell you how thankful I am to each and every person, whether they enjoyed The Hurricane or not, who picked up a book by a new and completely unknown author and took a chance on it.

I am so incredibly grateful to each and every person who has voted for The Hurricane and who got it through to the semi-finals. Tonight is the last night of voting before the finals and unfortunately, previous votes don't count. So if you had a minute this evening to vote again for The Hurricane, you would make my day.

Even if it doesn't make it any further in the competition, some truly amazing books have been nominated and it has been an honor to even be on the shelf next to them. Thank you all for giving it that chance. It has been a year that I will never forget. x
