Kim, thanks for your kind review and for sharing your mother's experience. You know, my wife has always said she had a guardian angel around her, that she could feel its presence. About three days before my father died, my wife and I visited him in the nursing home. He looked at my wife and asked, "who's your friend?" They say people approaching death often get glimpses of angels. I'm so blessed that I could witness him get a glimpse of my wife's angel. In fact, that experience was the inspiration for this book. I wanted to incorporate a similar experience in a scene with Justin, but, sadly, I had to edit that scene out because the novel went into a different direction than I had first envisioned.
