Philip Whiteland Isn't it amazing that you post blog posts over the years and get dribs and drabs of interest but put one post on that mentions Ronnie Barker's Arkwright and get over 1,100 views in a matter of days!

Philip Whiteland I'm delighted to announce the launch of the paperback version of my Christmas book:

Gingerlily - The Full Wild Is it printed on christmas paper?

Philip Whiteland Gingerlily - All kinds of everything! wrote: "Is it printed on christmas paper?"

That's extra!

Gingerlily - The Full Wild Extra difficult to read?

Philip Whiteland Gingerlily - All kinds of everything! wrote: "Extra difficult to read?"

It would depend on the design. You might get away with a white horse in the snow.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild Yeah, but you can bet that a crucial word would be obscured by his eye or something.

Firstly, there aren't any crucial words. Secondly, he's blinking.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild You can talk your way out of anything, can't you!

Except a gag, that's trickier ;-)

Jim He's a writer, he should be able to

Gingerlily - The Full Wild Oh and I'm sure you can too Jim!

Oh, that's what they were doing, was it?

Gingerlily - The Full Wild Just ignore the fact that they were facing away from you...

Nothing new there, GL ;-)

Gingerlily - The Full Wild And I'm sure it was a complete coincidence that their belts broke all at the same moment...

Philip Whiteland This isn't exactly on my blog but it probably soon will be. There's definitely something about this time of year that spurs me to write...like this:

message 37: by Jim (new)

Jim fascinating, not something I'd thought of

message 38: by Philip (new)

Philip Whiteland You should have a go, it's quite fun. Not sure it does anything for book sales, but still...

message 39: by Jim (new)

Jim I've done a little but it was because I was, for a while 'an expert' :-(

message 40: by Philip (new)

Philip Whiteland Jim wrote: "I've done a little but it was because I was, for a while 'an expert' :-("

Ah, I've never been an 'expert' but I did lecture in HRM for a good many years and it was the performance aspect of that which I found I was missing.

message 41: by Jim (new)

Jim I confess that when I was an 'expert' and had an hour to fill, I tended to talk for twenty minutes and then get the questions session to become a group discussion, because that way I knew we were talking about something that interested them :-)

Jim I cycled through Torremolinos over thirty years ago now and it looked like a somewhat upmarket Blackpool, more 'St Annes' than Lytham

We stayed there for a week as a cheap 'add-on' to a cruise. It was actually very pleasant until a certain U.K. football team's supporters arrived for a match. Thereafter, you were reluctant to speak English for fear of being tarred with the same brush!

message 49: by Jim (new)

Jim yes we ate at a bar half way out of town, were offered tapas, bought beer at the same price as locals, and our bikes were brought in off the street by the owner.
Then a bunch of football supporters or whatever arrived, had one very expensive drink and left heading back to beach area :-)
